Correction Collective Agreement
An agenda must be established and distributed fifteen (15) days before the meeting. Other contributions and justifications may be placed on the agenda with the agreement of the two co-chairs. The final agenda shall be determined by mutual agreement between the Co-Chairs. In accordance with clause 3.01 of the Framework Contract, clause 2.02 above and clause 16.05 of the Framework Contract shall not apply to prison officers or prison officers who are entitled to benefits under Article 7 of this Agreement. This Agreement applies only to Traffic Enforcement Officers, Sheriff`s Investigative Support Officers and the Alert Team of the Department of Justice and the Solicitor General, Public Safety Division, assigned to rotate 9.25 hours of shiftwork. This Agreement applies only to employees of the Department of Justice and the Solicitor General, Correction Division, assigned to a 6/3 rotation of positions. The parties will begin negotiations on 15 January 2019 with a view to reaching an agreement on the start of wages. This Agreement applies only to sheriffs of the Department of Justice and Solicitor General, Department of Public Safety, Department of Operations and Protective Services on the site of provincial legislation assigned to the rotation of 12 hours of shiftwork. Persons who are not representative on the Committee may, with the agreement of the Co-Chairs, make presentations at meetings and the Co-Chairs will be informed in writing prior to the meeting. The issues to be discussed were previously placed on the agenda. Any recommendation for amendment must be approved by a majority of the members of the Committee and, if accepted by both the employer and the union, may be implemented by mutual agreement.
This beginning of salary should in no way be interpreted as an “opening of the agreement” to negotiations on other issues by either party. An employee who, before 1 July 1986, has received an allowance of five dollars and ninety cents (USD 5.90) or more per day shall continue to receive the highest daily wage for each day of work, as long as the employee is employed in a capacity other than that of a prison officer or prison officer other than that of a prison officer or correctional officer. An annual shoe bonus of one hundred and twenty dollars ($120.00) is granted to employees who must wear a uniform if the shoes or boots are not provided as part of the uniform. Articles 4.03 (a), 4.04, 14, 23, 31, 32A, 33A, 36, 37 and 38 of the framework contract are managed in such a way as to grant the same number of hours of total entitlement as a worker who normally works a 7.75-hour shift. The parties agree that sheriffs seconded to ALERT in accordance with the alert declaration of intent may voluntarily consent to the creation of overtime monitoring files that are not included in the alert memorandum of understanding and that are requested and directed by an ALERT partner police authority *. . .
